I first met Dave when working on the Merlin project at Lockheed Martin. He was a pleasure to work with, always enthusiastic and dedicated. Mostly though I remember our frequent walks in the beautiful Hampshire countryside which always ended in the pub for lunch. This was when I heard all about his life from his apprenticeship in the Air Force through bringing up his family in far flung locations. He was always happy and our discussions covered many topics and addressed lifes absurdities and vicissitudes with great humour. Dave was a wonderful friend and I miss him greatly.
